A Night to Remember: Paradiso, April 5

Some nights stay with you. Last Sunday was one of them.
Playing at Paradiso as part of the Ticket to the Tropics: Brazil Special was something I'll carry for a long time. The house was packed, the energy was electric, and seeing Samba Roots and Roda da Holanda share the same stage felt like something genuinely rare: two communities, two rodas, one room full of people moving together.
To everyone who came: thank you. I saw so many familiar faces in the crowd and wished I could have stopped to talk to each one of you. The rush of the night did not allow it, but the warmth I felt is something I hold close.
A huge thank you to the musicians who showed up fully and gave everything, to the team at Paradiso for opening this space, and to everyone involved in the production who worked behind the scenes.
Moments like this remind me why I do what I do: bringing Brazilian culture to Amsterdam, planting small seeds of connection between different communities, and watching people find each other in the same rhythm. That, to me, is the real music.
Until the next roda.
