Wagner Vasconcelos
Who Am I
I’m Wagner Vasconcelos, a Brazilian drummer based in Amsterdam, specializing in Brazilian rhythms, jazz and groove-based music.
My work combines performance and education, with a strong focus on connection, listening, and musical interaction — whether on stage or in a learning environment.

Mission
My mission is to inspire and empower people through music. I aim to promote the richness of Brazilian rhythms and demonstrate how they can connect, transform, and bring joy to people's lives. I believe teaching is more than just imparting knowledge, it’s about creating experiences that unlock each individual’s creative potential.
Through lessons, workshops, and performances, I strive not only to teach techniques but also to foster an environment of inclusion, learning, and collaboration. My experience in musical leadership and education in vulnerable communities has shown me that music is a universal language capable of opening doors, breaking barriers, and bringing hope.
Whether on stage, in a classroom, or leading a workshop, my commitment is to share the joy, energy, and depth of Brazilian music with the world.

Vision
My vision is to build a global community united by the power of music. I aspire to see Brazilian rhythms celebrated and embraced in diverse cultural landscapes, creating bridges between people and fostering understanding, joy, and creativity. Through my work, I envision music as a catalyst for transformation, where individuals discover their potential, communities strengthen their bonds, and cultural heritage is preserved and shared with the world.
By teaching, performing, and leading projects, I aim to inspire future generations of musicians and enthusiasts to appreciate the depth and beauty of Brazilian music while using it as a tool to spark positive change in their lives and communities.
